Summary of Today’s Vignette
Alvarez cites statistics about how much food is wasted in the United States, and describes the campaign launched by a supermarket chain in Finland.
Ueda admires the effective naming of the campaign and Lyons asks if Japan is ahead of the United States when it comes to limiting food waste.
Ueda says Japan does only slightly better than the U.S., regarding the volume of discarded food.
